Interdisciplinary Teaching for Varied Learners
At the core of my teaching philosophy lies a commitment to Universal Design for Learning, where I firmly believe that every student possesses the potential to excel given the right instructional approach. To achieve this, I implement diverse teaching methods to accommodate varied learning styles, drawing from interdisciplinary perspectives. Each course is designed with overarching student-centered learning goals that serve as the compass, guiding content delivery, teaching methodology, and assessment strategies. I prioritize hands-on learning experiences, where students engage with data to practice their quantitative skills, fostering interdisciplinary connections, and integrate communication practice. I actively seek and value student feedback through anonymous surveys, enabling me to fine-tune course structures, pacing, teaching styles, and content to optimize the learning experience for all students.
